In Your Sight

I know that I will never be
What everybody wants, you see.
I can not live the way they choose
For then, my own self I would lose

Please grant me, Lord, Intergrity
To have the strength to just be me
To do what you have shown is right
To know all mortals share my plight

And while I'm on the subject here
I thank you, for you made it clear
That those temptations which I fight
Will make me stronger in your sight
