In A Place I Did Dwell
In a place I did dwell
There was a guy I loved so well
But now he's gone and set me free
Oh, Dear God, How can it be?
Now I know the reason why,
For she was so much prettier then I
I ran upstairs and laid on my bed
Not a word to my mother was said
My father came home late that night
He looked for me from left to right
He ran upstairs to the door he broke
To find me hanging from a rope
He got a knife and cut me down
In my jeans a note was found
It said, "Dig my grave and dig it deep,
With marble stones from head to feet
And on it place a snow white dove to show
The world I died for love."
